It’s hard to believe that it has been almost six years since the launch ofย Destiny 2ย in 2017. The constant supply of new content from Bungie has kept the game fresh, and that is certainly not changing any time soon. Bungie has already teased the release ofย Destiny 2’sย next major expansion,ย The Final Shape,ย and fans are hyped! The exact details of next year’s DLC will beย fully revealed on August 22nd during theย Destiny 2ย 2023 showcase.
How To Watch the August 2023 Destiny 2 Showcase
There are a few places to watch the showcase, including below, right here on The Nerd Stash! Otherwise, you can view it via the officialย Destiny 2ย Youtube channel. At the moment, that is the only platform confirmed to be streaming the showcase. It is, however, safe to assume that Bungie will also stream the event on their Twitch and Bilibili channels, as they did last year.
The broadcast will begin atย 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST.ย If the showcase is anything like last year’s, it will likely be 3 to 4 hours long.
What To Expect From the Destiny 2 Showcase
We know for certain that Bungie is set to reveal the full details of next year’sย The Final Shapeย DLC. While information regarding the expansion is limited,ย The Final Shapeย is set to bringย Destiny 2’sย Light and Darkness storyline to an end. Thankfully, the teaser trailer for the DLC confirmed thatย Cayde-6 will be returning front-and-center, along with hisย original voice actor.
Fans should be getting an official release date forย The Final Shapeย as well. Though, it willย almost certainly be launched in February 2024. You can also expect Bungie to give us a look at season 22, which should be dropping shortly after the livestream. Despite the rather disappointing results of 2023’sย Lightfall,ย things are looking bright forย Destiny 2ย fans!
