Sean “Diddy” Combs may be on the path to another major win after sex therapist Dr. Laura Berman prescribes freak-offs for the ultimate sexual fulfilment in relationships. The disgraced rapper’s infamous wild parties, now dubbed freak-offs, have been at the forefront of his sex trafficking and abuse case in New York. Testimonies from witnesses, as well as evidence presented in court during his trial, have highlighted just how wild these Diddy parties got, and the disturbing orgies that went on within those walls, often lasting for days. Witnesses have also revealed that these parties were usually drug-fueled, with escorts and guests performing sex acts, which the rap mogul sometimes recorded.
Dr. Laura Berman, host of In the Bedroom on Oprah Winfrey Network, believes freak-offs did not have to be as horrifying as portrayed amid the Diddy scandal. Speaking to TMZ, the 55-year-old  assistant clinical professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Illinois, endorsed freak-offs as a solution to folks struggling in their sex lives. According to her, these wild parties can help spice up a couple’s sex life, regardless of the source of the problem, be it boring sex or a lack of sex altogether.
Dr Berman Slammed After Suggestive Comments About Diddy Freak-offs
Berman explained that this reinvigorating potential is exactly why some found freak-off elements enticing, regardless of how appalling they may seem, per the outlet. However, to reap the good out of these wild parties without the appalling elements, couples need to keep things legal. Berman, who recently launched her new book, Sex Magic, noted that consent is key in this case, ensuring all parties involved understand what they are getting into beforehand and agree to it.
Despite the sex therapist’s attempt to justify her comments glorifying Diddy Freak-offs with the “consent” card, several critics went off on her on social media, describing her take as “highly offensive to the victims and women in general.” Firing on X, one critic shot,
“There are probably lots of things that could spice up your sex life, doesn’t mean you should do them. Degeneracy can go back in the closet.”

Meanwhile, some netizens defended this take on Diddy freak-offs, pointing out that the disgraced rapper simply did what most were already guilty of. One X user suggested those criticizing Diddy’s wild parties were simply hypocrites, writing,
“All y’all watch porn. All he did are categories on Porn Hub. What y’all holier than thou now?”
Celebs Deny Connection to Wild Parties Amid Unpredictable Trial
While Dr. Berman’s take on Freak-offs appeared to endorse Diddy’s wild parties, those sex and drug-fueled adventures have not gone down well for the disgraced rapper, or any celebrity remotely linked to them. In fact, since the sexual abuse scandal blew up, several celebrities have been roped into the scandal, owing to photos of them at Diddy’s parties surfacing, making them guilty by association in the eyes of the public. Given this reluctance of celebs to associate with Diddy, one can deduce these freak-off elements aren’t as simple as those suggested by Berman.
This comes as the disgraced rapper saw a breakthrough in the sex tracking and racketeering case against him. During the court proceedings on Tuesday, Diddy’s legal team shocked with their decision to present no witnesses in the closing trial, despite their initial claims that they had three witnesses on hand. Additionally, the rapper also opted not to take the stand, acting on the advice of his lawyers.
Further shocking the courtroom, Diddy’s defense team presented a short case, panning a record 20 minutes, leaving many suspecting they may be onto something they knew would certainly work in his favor. Shortly after this courtroom shocker, the Diddy trial took another unexpected turn as prosecutors moved to drop several of the charges against the 55-year-old, including attempted kidnapping, attempted arson, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking, after failing to prove them during the trial.
