According to a report, imprisoned Todd and Julie Chrisley still get to speak with their family. Todd and Julie’s family can communicate with them via phone calls based on the rules of their separate prisons. Get the full details below.ย

Todd And Julie’s Family Can Communicate With Them In Prison

The Chrisley Knows Best stars have been in prison for a week and are now adjusting well to life there. Imprisoned Todd and Julie Chrisley entered separate prisons on January 17 to start their combined 19-year sentences.ย

Todd was sentenced to 12 years in a federal prison in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison in Lexington, Kentucky. For Julie, her prison is a few hours from where most of their family members live in Nashville, Tennessee.ย

Although the duo is locked away in prison locations in separate states, Todd and Julie’s family can speak with them. A source close to the Chrisley family told HollywoodLife that this has greatly helped them during this time.

“Todd and Julie have had several phone calls with their children and family,” the source told the news outlet. “For these calls, a couple of their family members have been together,” the source said.ย

Todd and Julie's sentencing

Regarding how Todd and Julie are coping with life behind bars, the source said they are doing their best. The insider also revealed that “the family is planning to visit them within the next several weeks, and their visits will be staggered.”ย

They added that it will be easier to visit Julie than Todd “due to the distance between them.” However, there are a few rules to observe.ย

In prison handbooks acquired by HollywoodLife, strict rules regarding how much time Todd and Julie can chat and see their family members are outlined.ย ย

In both prisons, all the couple’s calls are recorded and monitored regardless of who they are talking to.ย  However, in Julieโ€™s prison, prisoners can use the telephone from their jail cells from 6:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Toddโ€™s prison in Pensacola only allows prisoners 300 minutes of phone calls per month.

For visitation rights, Toddโ€™s prison only allows two visitors per week, and the visits are heavily monitored. Every inmate who desires visitation must submit a list limited to 10 friends and associates.ย

“The list must be submitted to the inmate’s assigned Correctional Counselor.”ย

On the other hand, Julie’s prison in Lexington allows visitors based on a point system. Inmates are granted a total of (16) visiting points a month. Weekday visits are counted as (2) points, and weekend and holiday visits count as four (4) points. Inmates can also receive five visitors at a time.

Imprisoned Todd and Julie Chrisley appear to adjust well in prison while they wait for their appeal. Thankfully, Todd and Julie’s family can talk to them frequently. Hopefully, they will continue to find the strength to carry on.
