ICE just can’t help themselves it seems. Ever since Trump took power and emboldened the much-maligned government agency, they have been on a rampage. Taking down innocents, smashing and grabbing, and it seems their actions in liberal leaning states have been much more egregious as of late. This crazy train isn’t stopping, as ICE agents in Hyannis were caught on video chasing immigrants high up into a tree.
That is right, the headline isn’t clickbait, or misleading, ICE agents quite literally tried to arrest some workers, and they ran up a tree as their only method of escape. A couple of workers, it’s tough to determine where they are from, are lounging in a tree as a helicopter buzzes overhead, and a handful of ICE agents are staring at them, bewildered. The fact that ICE has spread even to Hyannis, and other parts of Massachusetts means nowhere is really safe.
It would almost be amusing aside from the fact that well, once they get them down, they are likely to be shipped off to a facility with zero communication and no due process, so hopefully the workers made ICE feel some struggle before they made their likely unlawful arrests. Some folks in the PublicFreakout Reddit thread created by user I_May_Have_Weed had some things to say about the video in question.
“Big time Django Unchained vibes”
“Mr Stonesipher aahhah let D’artagnan to heaven type of shit”
“Ice agents look a lot like Proud Boys.”
“Make is very inconvenient for those Nazi mF’ers to do their “job”
“Notice they’re at work. These people are working. Not freeloading. Not committing crimes. Just humans trying to make a life. Fuck ICE. Fuck the wannabe chuds with chodes cosplaying as ICE.”
“Beautiful optics while bald nazi man Stephen Miller is raging at ICE for not carrying out enough arrests – here we see… 7, 8, 10? ICE boogaloo boys chasing 2 guys up a tree and all of them are too fat lazy or stupid to climb up after them if that’s what they want?”
As you can see, people are very fired up about ICE as of late, and we aren’t even a year into this administration. Time will only tell how much worse it is going to get, or if it has a chance of getting better.
