Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer beta period has completed its first weekend, meaning that many players have already experienced the new Call of Duty. Now, among these players are the content creators with a strong opinion about the new MW3 gameplay in the beta. Inkslasher, a predominant Call of Duty content creator, recently posted a video sharing his thoughts on the game, explaining why he believes the beta is excellent.

Longer TTK And Overall Good Call of Duty Basics

The first thing that makes the Modern Warfare 3 beta a good experience, in Inkslasher’s opinion, is the new TTK. In Modern Warfare 3, players now have 150hp compared to 100hp from Modern Warfare 2. This makes killing an opponent a little longer, but it isn’t felt that much to annoy the players. In fact, this is a very good insertion to the game, adding more skill-based fights to the field.

If you’re able to do movements much faster than the opponent, the longer TTK means that now you’ll have a chance to buy time, stay alive, and kill the opponent. Aside from that, Inkslasher also mentions details about “good Call of Duty basics.” This is defined by the updated mini-map system of the game and how the enemy’s location will be exposed if they shoot an unsilenced weapon. He also mentions that the game looks better and clearer visually, which is a strong check on the list of delivering a good Multiplayer experience.

Despite approving the idea of adding the old MW2 2009 maps to the game, Inkslasher is not in 100% agreement with having Skidrow and Estate in the beta. He stated,

“The ones that they chose, just, aren’t the ones I would have chosen.”

Right now, there are Skidrow, Estate, and Favela in the game, which are all MW2 maps, and they are great in their sense.

Bringing back these maps from a very popular game of MW2 2009 has definitely had an impact on the OG Call of Duty players. However, maybe it was better to have at least one of the new Modern Warfare 3 maps in the beta. As of writing, the second round of the beta period will begin tomorrow. Even then, we will not be receiving any original MW3 2023 maps.

New Movement System in Modern Warfare 3 Beta

One of the many reasons that most players are talking about Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone‘s next big update, is the addition of the new movement system. In fact, this isn’t a completely new thing, as we had it back in Warzone 1, MW 2019, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard. However, after the removal of quick slides and slide cancels in MW2 and Warzone 2, many players left these games behind, and now they’re coming back to them.

This idea is again approved by Inkslasher to be a very good addition to the game, but he states that there are some changes that need to happen. For instance, if you do a slide in the game right now, it takes a moment for the operator to ready your weapon. It doesn’t mean it plays like MW2, but it still needs to be quicker, just like it was in MW 2019. While you can fix this yourself with a gear, Inkslasher believes it wrong to have a normal movement mechanic of the past games as a perk here.

Things That Need Fixing in Modern Warfare 3 Beta

After praising the game and discussing the game’s current advantages, the famous Call of Duty content creator has also mentioned some bad aspects of the game. For example, he thinks that the Battle Rage is so overpowered in the game. This equipment is currently in the Warzone and MW2 as a field upgrade. When activated, your operator will regenerate health quicker, and you can do tactical runs for a longer duration. This is while the Battle Rage is a tactical equipment in the Modern Warfare 3 beta.

Having such a strong tool in the game as a tactical is definitely overpowered. Every time you spawn, you can just use one of them, and if you have a munition box, you can have one more. And since the amount of HP in the game is 150, it’ll be much harder to kill an operator that has Battle Rage on.

Another thing that the Inkslasher thinks needs fixing in the game is weapon balance. This one is something that I more than 100% agree with. Watching many content creators, streamers, and Youtubers, they all use Striker SMG or the MCW Assault Rifle. This needs fixing, just like the issue of not being able to recognize your teammates in the game.

With all this information in mind, don’t forget that this is just a beta version of Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer. It is currently one of the best betas a Call of Duty game has. However, we still need to wait for the final opinions after the official release.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is due to release on November 10, 2023.
