JP is a new character in Street Fighter 6 who stars as the new villain. You might be asking, just who is this new character? M. Bison was the leader of Shadoloo for multiple years and brought fear to the world in many ways. After the events of Street Fighter V and 3rd Strike, he is gone for good. Or is he? Is M. Bison connected to JP in Street Fighter 6? Let’s dive into details and review every clue on JP’s relation to the previous Street Fighter villain.

Who is JP in Street Fighter 6?

JP is a new mysterious character in Street Fighter 6 that wields psycho powers. Before his appearance in this game, nothing was seen about this character in the previous Street Fighter titles. However, in SF6, it is revealed that he worked for the Shadaloo. Most of JP’s backstory is hidden in the shadows, and no one knows his true identity, including his real name.

JP can stand for many names in various languages. And with this, he has been able to do many secret operations and run projects that have left no clues behind. One of which is about Ken being a criminal in Street Fighter 6. Ken is sued for participating in a terrorist attack in the country of Nayshall, but uncovering the truth behind this scene is that JP has done this to stay in the shadows.

Is JP Connected to M. Bison and The Shadaloo?

Yes, JP has been working with the Shadaloo since the events of the previous games. Despite this, the important thing is he is not related to M. Bison, and there’s no evidence to prove that he is a new body for the last evil character. JP wields psycho powers for sure, but this is because he has done many experiments and observed the Shadaloo’s projects.

However, not being connected to M. Bison does not make him a good guy in this story. In fact, JP’s story has a very weird relation to Kimberly. Albert Jackson, Kimberly’s uncle, disappeared after the Nayshall incident. But as we know that JP has been behind this terror; he is the one responsible for Kimberly’s uncle’s disappearance.

This is the same scenario we have seen during the Street Fighter franchise about Chun-Li and how M. Bison murdered her father. Now JP has killed Kimberly’s uncle, and she will probably be seeking revenge. This is more evident when we rewatch the Street Fighter 6‘s trailer for JP with this new info. In this trailer, he knocks out Kimberly and then refuses to kill her, as M. Bison did the same thing to Chun-Li.

Is JP the Villain for The Next Street Fighter Game?

JP can be the next Street Fighter villain after what happened in the World Tour story of SF6. In this mode, you’ll get to fight JP at the end, but even after you defeat him, he laughs and mentions that this is not the end. This means that something is coming, and even the other fighters feel it. Maybe we get to see more stories with DLC for the current game, or we just have to wait until the release of the next Street Fighter for the reveal of the next big villain.
