This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The massive indie multiplayer shooter BattleBit Remastered is now on Steam Early Access and selling the Supporter Pack DLC. Some of you might be asking, is purchasing the Supporter Pack actually worth the money? How much stuff are you going to get? Especially since it costs more than the base game itself. Now let’s do some calculations to decide whether buying the BattleBit Supporter Pack DLC is worth it or not.

What’s In the BattleBit Supporter Pack

Priced at $20, the Battlebit Supporter Pack 1 DLC contains the following items:

  • Special skins for 12 Assault Rifles
  • Special skins for 5 SMGs
  • Special skins for 4 LMGs
  • Special skins for 4 Pistols
  • Special skins for 4 Long Range Rifles
  • and a bunch of upcoming content, such as:
    • Backpacks
      • Travelpack for RU and US faction
    • Helmets
      • Universal Helmets for all Classes
        • US: Hoodiecover and Glasses & Scarf
        • RU: Ushanka
      • For Support Class
        • US: Future War and Eisengard
        • RU: Killer and Spacemarine
      • For RU Engineer
        • Drivercap

Technically speaking, for $20, you’ll get 38 in-game cosmetics items.

BattleBit Supporter Pack Price Breakdown

The Battlebit Remastered’s Supporter Pack 1 seems jam-packed with additional content, but let’s examine this further.

First, let’s keep in mind that the Supporter Pack 1 DLC is priced at $20. And it does not contain the actual game, just the skins. On the other hand, the Battlebit Remastered itself costs only $15. Not to mention that the DLC page itself states that this is “Supporter Pack 1“, indicating that Pack 2, 3, etc., might be released in the future. How much will they cost, or if SgtOkiDoki and Co. will release additional Packs? We don’t know for now.

Ultimately, in my opinion, the answer hinges on how much you value the Supporter-exclusive skins and the developer team’s effort behind the scene.

Remember that if you want to play BattleBit Remastered, you can purchase the game for $15. If you buy both the game and Supporter Pack, you must shell out $35. With that money, you can buy it for yourself, gift a copy to a friend, and save $5 for two Whopper Jrs.

However, don’t forget that the four-person team of SgtOkiDoki, Vilaskis, and TheLiquidHorse has been working on this independently for seven long years. That isn’t not counting how long the game will stay as an Early Access title. Purchasing the BattleBit Supporter Pack DLC is the same as donating $20 to the small indie developer team as a thank-you gift.

Nevertheless, if you want to grab both the game and support the developer, there’s the BattleBit Remastered Supporter Edition bundle. The bundle costs $33.23. Compare it if you buy the BattleBit Remastered and the Supporter Pack 1 DLC individually, which will set you back $35. The price difference is quite minuscule, just a 5% discount, but you still save a buck and a few cents.

With all that in mind, I think it’s fair to say that BattleBit Supporter Pack DLC is not really worth your money. Especially if you’re just in it for some fun and do not pay any mind to the game’s development process, but if you enjoy the game, wish to support the team, and don’t mind parting with $20, then you should do so.
