Sean William McLoughlin, known to his fans as Jacksepticeye, is one of the most popular YouTube personalities in the world. Alongside being known for his green hair and infectious laughter, the IrishĀ comedian also has a big heart. At the end of each month, Jacksepticeye devotes a day of streaming toward a charity of his choice, with 100 percent of donations going toward it. This month, Jacksepticeye chose to donate to a noble cause within the gaming community: AbleGamers Charity.
AbleGamers is a nonprofit organization that simply wants to make it so that people with disabilities can game like the rest of us. Below is the charity’s “impact” statement:
With your help, we are working every day to make sure people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else for positive experiences through play. With our two decades as pioneers in inclusive play, thousands of hours working with people with disabilities, leading developers and engineers we create opportunities for players to find inclusive places to play and connect with family and friends.
AbleGamers
Over the course of nearly 10 hours of streaming, powering through stages on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and building up a storm in Fortnite, Jacksepticeye was able to raise over $150k ($150,746) in donations for AbleGamers.
