Jake Paul has once again left fans scratching their heads, this time with a gun in hand and a slot machine at his feet. The 28-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer posted a new Instagram reel on Monday, August 25, showing himself dressed in tactical gear, armed with a rifle, and shouting insults at a slot machine. The strange skit, filmed outdoors, looked more like a parody war movie than a brand promo.
In the clip, Jake Paul is seen playing soldier, complete with a rifle, headgear, and military stance, before targeting the slot machine. While the visuals went heavy on action-movie chaos, the caption made the intent clear: “I hate your parents. Download @betr and play Betr Arcade right now.”
In August 2022, Jake Paul co-founded Betr, a sports-media and mobile-betting company, alongside Simplebet founder Joey Levy. The company originally focused on micro-betting, placing wagers on small, real-time moments within games, and creating sports betting–centered media content. Since then, Betr has expanded to include real-money betting and now arcade-style wagering through its newest platform, Betr Arcade.
Jake Paul Goes From Boxing Gloves to Betr Arcade
Known for pushing boundaries in both the boxing ring and online, Jake Paul once again leaned into spectacle to get people talking. The Rambo-like imagery, paired with the destruction of an old-school slot machine, seemed to symbolize Betr’s mission to shake up the gambling industry with something “newer, flashier, and better for the next generation.”
Reactions to the video came pouring in almost instantly. UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov dropped a raised hands emoji, while another fan simply wrote, “Legend.” Others praised the theatrics with strings of fire and explosion emojis.
But not everyone was impressed. One critic fired back with a sharp jab: “Promoting what ruins people’s lives.” Still, with more than 10,000 likes in under an hour, the bizarre teaser did exactly what it set out to do: grab attention and stir conversation, for better or worse.
