The most recent update on Jamie Foxx’s ongoing health concerns is troubling. The Django star, who was first rushed to a hospital in Georgia earlier in May with some sort of health issue, was later moved to a rehab center in Chicago and seemingly on the way to recovery. Now, though, according to okmagazine journalist A.J. Benza, the actor is reportedly blind and paralyzed due to complications following a COVID-19 vaccination. It must be said, though, that the validity of these claims is hotly contested.

Jamie Foxx Health Updates Stirred Confusion
Indeed, specific details on Foxx’s medical diagnosis are thin. Understandably, ever since his condition was first reported, fans have been hanging on to the pockets of information; recently, his eldest daughter, Corrine Foxx, told fans that her dad was hospitalized due to medical complications. Corrine assured them, though, that he was on his way to recovery and was responding well to treatment.
Shortly thereafter, another health update surfaced, suggesting instead that all was not well. Some sources claimed the actor had deteriorated, and his family feared the worst. Meanwhile, others said Foxx was alive, perfectly fine, and even enjoying time with his family surrounding him. Who to believe?
Eventually, speculations were laid to rest when Foxx shared an update on his Instagram, though it is unclear whether the actor wrote the message or a family member. However, the post’s theme suggested Foxx was going on strong. It read:
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling Blessed.”
A few days later, Corrine updated her Instagram with an announcement of a new show slated for 2024. Though this had nothing to do with Jamie Foxx’s health update, it insinuated that the actor would be just fine to work in the future.
Further emphasis was put on his recovery when Corrine, her younger sister, Annalise Bishop, and Anelise’s mom visited the actor in rehab. Foxx’s youngest child was seen with a guitar, which was supposed to mean she might have played some music for her dad in the facility. Also, her mom, Kristin Grannis received a Mother’s Day balloon— a gesture likely from Foxx.

But then Foxx’s condition was thrown into the air once more. Reporter (read gossip columnist) A.J. Benza supposedly shared an update on the actor which painted a wildly different picture of his health that was completely at odds with his daughter’s.
Benza believes things have turned sour following blood clotting in his brain. According to his report, this had left Foxx paralyzed and partially blind. Allegedly, this reporter received details from someone who was actually in the hospital room with Foxx. Apparently, Foxx’s condition can be linked to the coronavirus vaccination, something he was coerced into taking due to a movie role he was in.
“Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but in the movie he was in, he was pressured to get it. The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind,” he was quoted as saying in a recent online show called Ask Dr. Drew.
But the actual legitimacy of these claims remains shaky. Some fans have suggested such claims might be some form of PR tactic or anti-vac scaremongering. While Benza’s reports are not yet confirmed, one thing remains clear, Foxx is not what he used to be and is possibly still receiving treatment given that he has not resumed filming.

Following Jamie Foxx’s health update, the production canceled filming for a day. It had eight days of filming to go, and it is not certain whether they would hang on for Foxx to join or conclude without him. Another source even claimed production had already wrapped up. It’s all very unclear and potentially misinformation. We’ll just have to see what the outcome proves to be and offer an update in the near future.
