Jamie Lynn Spears has exited the jungle. The younger sister of Britney Spears has left the ITV reality series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, the network announced on Wednesday.
Jamie Lynn Spears cited “medical grounds” as the reason she left.
“Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds,” a statement addressing her exit reads.
“She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”
According to the network, her last appearance on the reality series will be in Wednesday night’s episode. Her campmates were alerted to her departure.
Jamie Lynn had an emotional time as she talked about her kids on the show.
Many fans noticed Jamie Lynn Spears struggling during her time on the reality series — the third she’s participated in this year.
In one episode, she cried about missing daughters Ivey, 5, and Maddie, 15, admitting she felt like “such a baby” doing so.
“Look at the s–t you’ve been through in your life, right? This, a little bit of rain in the jungle, is nothing,” campmate Danielle Harold said to Jamie Lynn.
“But at least all that s–t I could go home to my babies every night, you know?” she replied. “That’s it. That’s all I need in life. It feels a little bit overwhelming. They’re not even close. I’ve got to just do it.”
Despite talking herself out of the moment, she later threatened to quit the show, saying, “I do not want to be here. F— this,” she said. “I just want to see my kids, that’s it. I’ll stay out here with these fricking critters, just let me see them.”
She also got teary talking about big sister Britney.
When it came to talking about Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears said she’d always looked up to her.
“Anything my sister did I always thought was the best,” she said. “When it came to my sister — even if I felt anything — if anyone said anything I was ready to go. I was like, ‘Don’t talk about my sister. She’s the best.'”
When asked how they get along now, she simply said, “I love my sister.”
