JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs are officially over. In a TikTok shared on Saturday, April 26, Ebbs revealed that the Dance Moms star had decided to end their relationship during a recent after party for Celebrity Big Brother. Siwa appeared on the show’s latest season over the past few weeks. Since she grew close to one of her male castmates throughout the series, fans are calling her “nasty” for breaking up with Ebbs over someone she just met.

The nonbinary content creator, who uses they/she pronouns, admitted they were in “shock” after being dumped by Siwa. The pair had been together for six months when the pro dancer suddenly pulled the plug on their relationship. According to Ebbs, Siwa thought it was best they go their separate ways after realizing she no longer “wanted to spend the foreseeable future” with the social media star.
During their final conversation, Siwa admitted that she had developed “confused feelings” about Ebbs during her time on Celebrity Big Brother. “[Siwa] has decided that they don’t want to be with me and they wanna explore independence and explore certain feelings,” Ebbs explained. She then accused Siwa of “[emotionally] cheating” with her male housemate Chris Hughes.
The two had shared several flirty exchanges throughout the show. While Ebbs hoped they were “fabricated” for TV, they’ve now realized that Siwa and Hughes had actually grown very close. Ebbs said they feel “incredibly humiliated” by the whole situation since fans watched their relationship crumble in real time. “Yes, I was watching the same show as you all,” Ebbs said. “It was very unsettling and very hurtful.”

During the latest season of Celebrity Big Brother, JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes were filmed cuddling together and holding hands. At one point, Hughes had even kissed Siwa’s forehead. Following their exchanges, Siwa announced on the show she’s not a lesbian but actually queer.
Fans had mixed feelings about the situation. Although they were happy Siwa was continuing to explore herself, they felt uncomfortable over her getting close to Hughes while she was still in a relationship. They had hoped Siwa would take some time to figure things out with Ebbs once she left the show. After hearing that she immediately called it quits with her partner during the Celebrity Big Brother after party, they can’t help but give her the sideeye.
“Such a messed up way to end things,” one person said. “[She’s] runing her life for a reality show,” another fan commented. “She literally cheated on live tv,” read another comment.
The latest season of Celebrity Big Brother premiered on April 7 and ended on April 25. The reality show involves a number of celebrity contestants living together under one roof while they’re isolated from the rest of the world. A person is eliminated each week with the last person remaining being declared the winner. TV personality Chris Hughes came in sixth place while JoJo Siwa made it to third place.
It’s unclear if the pair will begin a romantic relationship now that Siwa is single. “In terms of their relationship, that’s their journey, enjoy,” Ebbs said in their since-deleted TikTok.
