No need to fret, get on your feet, and get to jumping!  Jump Rope Adventure will remain on the US eShop for the time being.

As most people are at home from school or work due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Nintendo decided to spice things up by releasing a free jump roping game to download.  Jump Rope Adventure uses the Joy-Cons to mimic a jump rope and set a new high score each day.

Jump Rope Adventure Will Not Be Delisted From the Nintendo eShop

Even though it was free, the game still packed a lot of classic Nintendo charm.  It was the closest we will get to the wackiness of a WarioWare game on Switch. What made Jump Rope Adventure worth looking at was that it was given a time limit.  When it was announced, Nintendo noted that it would become delisted from the eShop until tomorrow, September 30.  Thankfully, Nintendo has seemed to change their mind.  The Nintendo of America Twitter announced that the game will not be removed from the eShop on September 30.

Thanks to all players of #JumpRopeChallenge for recording 2.5 billion total jumps! As new jumpers are joining, the free download will be available until further notice and will not be removed from Nintendo #eShop on 9/30. pic.twitter.com/P9g7dXmmZe

In addition to the announcement, Nintendo also revealed that all players have totaled 2.5 billion jumps since the Jump Rope Adventure was released.  In addition to Ring Fit Adventure, Nintendo has taken a forward approach in developing fitness games in mind for Switch. Nintendo seems to flipflop when it comes to the length of time to download their games.  For example, Super Mario Bros 35 and Super Mario 3D All-Stars will only be available for a limited time, with no reason said as to why that is happening.

When it comes to delisting games, it is a problem throughout the entire video game industry.  Companies have a tight grip on control of their games, so preserving video games is something to look further into.
