Last night at The Game Awards 2020, the avalanche of video game announcements surprised everyone. From an untitled Mass Effect installment to Ark II, there was a little something for every fan. In addition to the abundance of updates and new titles, SQUARE ENIX unveiled their newest adventure with Just Cause: Mobile.

Mercenary Mayhem On-The-Go with Just Cause: Mobile

This upcoming action shooter will see you rise through the ranks as their own parachute-shooting mercenary. By teaming up with other players (or fighting against them), you will gather an array of upgrades to aid you in your long-enduring feud against the organization Darkwater.

All of the expected ingredients are in Just Cause: Mobile. You can shoot tanks up, grapple through a storm of flying bullets, and trigger your wingsuit while exploring the mountains. The entire package at launch for the game will come with four modes: Story Campaign, Triple Threat Multiplayer, Co-op Missions, and Challenge Mode. The storyline will follow your unique character as the Agency’s newest member as you form alliances with familiar faces to take down Darkwater. Triple Threat sees three teams of 10 players battling and securing bases. Co-op pits a team of four players against waves of intense enemies. And finally, Challenge Mode allows players to stretch out their skills across the Destruction, Wingsuit, and Race challenges. You can also form clans to earn extra rewards for your efforts during gameplay.

The aforementioned modes can be seen in the official trailer for Just Cause: Mobile. Backed with an adrenaline-filled rock-n-roll tune, the trailer delivers on high-flying action with character shootouts, helicopter assaults, grappling hooks, and plenty of explosions.

Just Cause: Mobile will be releasing next year for iOS and Android. The free-to-play action title will be the franchise’s first for mobile platforms.
