It seems that many people in the world are willing to go to great lengths to make life terrible for others. These people are what we like to call ‘Karens.’ Unfortunately, these Karens are everywhere around the world. One Karen was recorded being incredibly racist to her Uber driver for simply being Muslim. It’s a good thing that the driver had a camera inside the vehicle that was recording at all times and then uploaded the footage to Twitter.
The video depicts a Muslim Uber driver either parked or stopped at a red light. Just as he is rendered vulnerable, the woman jumps from the back seat to the front seat and begins to pepper spray the driver. Because of the shock concerning the incident, the driver decides to jump out of the vehicle to protect himself. Unfortunately, the car was not in park and continued to move forward. So, the gentleman jumped back in the car to stop it while the woman began to aggressively attack him again.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such a heinous racist act against someone quite literally minding their own business. And I’ve definitely never seen something like this where the racist person would rather put their life in danger for the sake of being mean to someone. After the video was released, the woman was quickly identified as 23-year-old Jennifer Guilbeault, a Public Relations Assistant at D. Pagan Communications.
The replies to the video quickly flooded with commenters criticizing the woman’s actions.
“The utter hate on her face is nauseating.”
What makes this even worse is that in the extended version of the clip, the friend she is in the car with fails to understand why the other woman had just done that. Fortunately, Guilbeault was apprehended and charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, and second-degree aggravated harassment. Hopefully, we won’t hear (or write) about her soon.
