Kelly Clarkson allegedly has her eyes on one Hollywood hunk, and despite what seems like an unusual pairing, fans are already shipping them. It has been two years since the American Idol alum finalized her divorce from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, and she has since been linked to several names. However, nothing has looked tangible until recently.
During December 11’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson was caught flirting with her guest, 50 Cent, while on air. The talk show host was seen blushing hard when the rapper called her “really, incredibly smart.” At one point, she stood up to playfully tap the Power actor on the arm while laughing at his jokes. The Because of You songstress also had quite an effect on the rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson. He couldn’t stop smiling and throwing her compliments throughout the interview.
Unsurprisingly, 50 Cent was smitten by Clarkson, who looked breathtaking in a gorgeous red dress. The outfit featured a thigh-high slit and an off-shoulder that teased her cleavage. Social media users noticed the affectionate interaction and couldn’t help but speak on it.
“Is it just me or are they flirting?” wondered one curious fan.
“She’s crushing SO HARD!!!!!” observed another fan.
“I feel like these two should actually be a couple,” a third remark read.
“Ok – they’re cute. He’s always seemed like such a sweet, funny, handsome man. Girl, hurry,” a fourth follower penned.
“The chemistry is unreal,” another comment read.
Some fans even noticed how Clarkson often got flustered and allowed her Southern accent to slip out.
“She is SO charmed by him. My southern accent comes out JUST like that when I’m enthralled with someone,” this fan wrote.
Is Kelly Clarkson Dating 50 Cent?
Despite the undeniable chemistry between Kelly Clarkson and 50 Cent, there is no confirmation the pair are dating. The three-time Grammy winner has remained single since her divorce, and her kids are majorly why that is the case. During a recent appearance on KOST 103.5, the 42-year-old confessed her children, River, 10, and Remington, don’t want her to date.
“They constantly bring it up, ‘Please, we don’t want you with anybody else.’ They’re young, it’s hard to picture their mom with someone else other than their dad.”
Luckily, Kelly Clarkson has no problem with being single. The singer admitted she remains open to love. However, she only plans to date casually. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been successful so far because of the kind of men.
“I’m a magnet for people who are really all-in right off the bat,” she complained. “It’s not that I’m the type to go and kiss a bunch of people. I just don’t—I’m very noncommittal at the moment.”
Kelly Clarkson’s priority remains her two children, and a flirty rapport is unlikely to change that.
