The Kardashians have gained a new momager. Since the family rose to stardom, Kris Jenner has been the one pulling the strings behind the scenes for her kids. However, now that her children have become parents themselves, it seems she’s ready to pass down the torch, starting with Kim Kardashian.
Kim Kardashian Has Mixed Feelings About Being A Momager
During the latest season of The Kardashians on Hulu, Kim opened up about her experience becoming a momager to her oldest child, North West. The star admitted that the job is not one she expected to take on, especially so soon in her daughter’s life. Since it all happened so quickly, Kim has found it difficult trying to balance both her and North’s careers simultaneously.
“I thought I was busy before. North, me having to be her momager right now is crazy,” she said. “Like it was not on my list. It was not on my bingo card for this year.”
Kim told Kris she’s “not ready” to be a full-time momager like her. Although North West is only 11 years old, she’s already receiving so many opportunities. Sometimes, they conflict with Kim’s schedule, meaning the Skims founder has to choose which of their projects to prioritize. “If she has a shoot, I have to be there all day, so it’s like her or me,” she explained.
Being a momager sounds tough for Kim. After all, she already has enough on her plate. Apart from being a mother to four children, the Kardashian is busy running her SKIMS business. She’s also constantly filming her Hulu reality series, picking up acting projects, and posing on the cover of fashion magazines. Not to mention, she’s rumored to be back on the dating scene. With so much going on in her life, you can’t blame the Kardashian for having mixed feelings about becoming a momager.
North West’s Career Continues to Thrive
Kim Kardashian should brace herself because it’s just the beginning of North West’s career. Over the years, she’s gotten a taste of the spotlight by joining her dad Kanye West on stage during his Sunday Service concerts. In February 2024, she launched her music career by appearing on the track “Talking / Once Again” from ¥$’s debut album, Vultures 1. Six months later, she returned to feature on the duo’s song “Bomb” from their second album, Vultures 2.
¥$ consists of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign. Since North shares a love for music like her dad, the two have grown especially close over the years. While she frequently collaborates with the rapper, she’s also teamed up with FKA Twigs. In January, North rapped on the English singer’s track “Childlike Things” from her third album, Eusexua.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, North’s achievements also include performing in a production of The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl last May. Outside of music, she has also lent her voice to the character Mini in the 2023 movie Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
North West has done so much in such little time. No wonder Kim Kardashian is feeling a little overwhelmed with it all.
