Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet are keeping their relationship extremely private. Although the couple seemingly aren’t afraid to be seen out in public together, they haven’t been flaunting their relationship status, and sources are claiming that the move is a very strategic one. Chalamet wants to be considered a serious actor and is focused on work, and he’s allegedly afraid that Jenner will “overshadow” his career.
In Touch Weekly reports that Kylie Jenner is fine with keeping her relationship with Timothee Chalamet under wraps as much as possible. The couple has made the conscious decision to stay out of the spotlight with their romance, and that is exactly what the actor wants.

“Kylie and Timothee are still going strong, but they are keeping their romance on the down low. There’s a reason they’re hiding it,” an insider tells the outlet. “[He] has too many important movies in the works,” and “doesn’t want his relationship with Kylie, who makes headlines by just stepping outside, to overshadow his career.”
Meanwhile, Jenner’s sister Kim Kardashian, as well as her mom Kris Jenner, aren’t on board with the plan. They reportedly want Kylie to remind the world that she and Timothee are still a hot and heavy couple. However, the makeup mogul isn’t listening to her family members. Instead, she and Chalamet are said to be forging their own path.
“Her sister Kim and her mom Kris, think she’s wasting a great opportunity and should basically exploit the romance,” the source shared. “Clearly, Kylie isn’t taking their advice. She loves Timothee and wants this relationship to work.”
Of course, some fans don’t like that Kylie and Timothee seem to be downplaying their romance for his career gain.
“No woman should ever have to hide themselves or their success because a man feels threatened by it. This is ridiculous and seems to be a recipe for disaster going forward,” one fan wrote via Reddit.
“I get it, but Kylie shouldn’t have to hide anything. It’s giving weak-minded man,” another comment read.
In the past, Jenner has had very public romances with men such as Tyga and rapper Travis Scott, whom she shares two children with. However, something seems to be different about her relationship with Chalamet. The couple appear to be going strong, despite being a bit secretive.
