Kylie Jenner is shedding some light on the state of her friendship with former BFF Jordyn Woods. The longtime pals became estranged in 2019 when Khloe Kardashian‘s ex, Tristan Thompson, allegedly cheated with Woods during a house party. The dramatic incident led to the expulsion of the model from the Kardashian-Jenner family. Her friendship with Kylie was strained, and the pair weren’t seen in public for years until July 2024. Now, with their rekindled rapport, Kylie is getting candid about how the fallout affected her.
While gracing the cover of ELLE Magazine, the Kylie Cosmetics founder admitted the breakup left her “heartbroken.” However, she and Woods never fully cut contact. “Weโve always tried to talk through things, so itโs never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance,” she explained. “Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her.” Although the pair still kept in touch, the distance between them wasn’t easy on Kylie. She told the publication:
“To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit because we were so attached at the hip.”
She concluded, “I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.“

Kylie’s insight into her friendship with Woods comes months after a reunion clip sent the internet spiraling. In July, Kylie, Woods, and Stassie Karanikolaou filmed a TikTok using the viral soundbite, “Okay guys, we’re back. Did you miss us? Cuz we missed you.” The KUWTK alum was smushed in between her two friends, with the trio rocking matching black dresses and giggling playfully.
Fans were over the moon seeing Woods back in the fold. “My teenage heart is healing,” gushed one fan, while another wrote, “The comeback of a century!!!” A third fan penned, “OMGGG Jordyn and Kylie!! Weโre back to the King Kylie era, yes!!” Kylie and Jordyn are thriving despite the scandal, which is such a beautiful thing to see, and fans keep rooting for them.
