Actress Leah Remini lives a terrifying existence. The former King of Queens star reveals she lives in fear for her life every day, and it is all thanks to making some very scary and highly influential members of the Church of Scientology angry. Leah Remini recently opened up about the insane harassment she and her 20-year-old daughter, Sofia, continue to endure daily since leaving the Church of Scientology in 2013.
Since breaking away and exposing the dirty and dangerous secrets of the controversial religious organization, Leah says she and her family have been hit with countless chilling death threats. This finds them living in a constant state of fear and forced to watch their backs, per Radar Online reports.
Leah Remini reveals spending 35 years dedicated to the church. She was just 13 when her mother first brought her into the fold. However, since her exit, Leah has been very outspoken and honest about the Church of Scientology’s goings-on. She has made numerous frightening enemies as well as called out some big-name celebrity members.
Leah Remini Says Scientology Is Always Watching
As previously reported Leah recently mentioned fallen actor and convicted rapist Danny Masterson. She believes that the former church member’s dark side was shaped by the church.
“Scientology made Danny the way he is,” she says. “He was raised to believe that whatever he did, they would figure it out within the walls of Scientology.” However, since the church has also turned its back on Masterson, things have not turned so well.
During her recent Us Weekly interview, Leah shares the scary details.”It’s difficult to say it’s gotten easier when I have a multimillion-dollar organization terrorizing me and my family. “I’m hunted. My daughter is followed. There is constant surveillance,” states Remini.
Leah shares that her daughter Sofia feels constantly petrified that her phone is being tapped. So, much so, she was forced to seek therapy. The actress notes that her daughter is doing okay now after going to therapy. It was a hard time for the family. But they pushed through it even though it placed a burden on them.
Despite the explosive lawsuits and her very public takedown of Scientology, the Church continues to deny every one of Leah Remini’s claims. One Scientology spokesperson even fired back, accusing Leah of harassing the organization. Insisting there’s never been a shred of evidence to back up what they call her “outlandish” accusations.
Even so, Leah Remini remains committed and determined to the cause. She reveals that walking away from the church was the best decision she’s ever made. Remini is not afraid to keep fighting, with no signs of either side backing down, it looks like this war is far from over.
