Bright Core is often confused with Blast Core, but these are two completely unrelated items with different methods of obtaining them. However, they have one similarity, both resources can be found in the Dry Valley Caves. While Blast Core drops like loot from enemies, Bright Core is an ore that you need to break with a pickaxe, and now we’ll explain how. Let’s take a look at how to get Bright Core in Lego Fortnite.

As mentioned above, Bright Core is an ore that you can obtain by visiting the local caves of the Dry Valley biome, also known as the Desert. While in the cave, go down as far as you can and search for the ore, which looks like an orange crystal that is jutting out of the stone.

This ore can often be found near lava, which makes it quite dangerous to go into the cave, as you can overheat. To prevent this, take Snow Berry with you, which provides resistance to hot temperatures. Be sure to bring a Rare Pickaxe, as an inferior tool will not be able to break Brightcore. Here is the recipe for the Rare Pickaxe, but remember that before crafting, you need to make sure that your Work Bench is also of the appropriate rarity::

  • Flexwood Rods x3 – Obtained in the process of refining Flexwood in the Lumber Mill, in a 1 to 1 ratio. Flexwood, in turn, can be obtained by cutting down a cactus with the Rare Forest Axe.
  • Sand Claws x3 – Drops as a drop after killing a sand wolf. This enemy appears at night, exclusively in the desert.

So, in addition to Rare Pickaxe and Snow Berry, which are mandatory items, you will also need to take a few secondary items to make the process of exploring the cave and surviving in it easier. So that you don’t waste any time, here’s a checklist of no less important items you need to take:

  • Torch – To illuminate dark areas.
  • Food – To restore your health if you are damaged, as well as hunger if the bar goes down.
  • Sword – There are quite a few enemies from whom you can’t run away forever, so a weapon will come in handy.
  • Shield – Don’t forget to defend yourself from enemies as well.

When you are fully equipped, then go to the desert, which is marked in yellow on the map, to find the cave and Brightcore, respectively.

Brightcore is a resource that is required in many important recipes, such as Metal Smelter and Copper Bars. It has no other use but to craft items, so if you have a lot of it, put it in storage to have a supply for the future.
