Lego Fortnite is a new mode that is essentially similar to Minecraft, but now in the world of the well-known brick-shaped construction set. You will need to harvest crops to eat them and restore your health, but without fertilizer, they take a long time to grow. Animals will also be incredibly useful to you, as they can provide you with important resources such as milk, eggs, or wool. To survive, you need to learn how to pet animals and get fertilizer in Lego Fortnite.

Currently, you can meet three types of friendly animals in the game, such as Chickens, Cows, and Sheep. All of them can be your friends and give you useful items if you pet them. It’s not challenging to do, just approach the animal unarmed so that it doesn’t get scared, and then press the interact button. Here are the interaction buttons for all the different devices:

  • PC – E key
  • Mobile – Tap
  • PS – Square button
  • Xbox – X button

After interacting with an animal, there is a chance that it will give you a certain resource corresponding to the animal’s type. This does not happen every time, but there’s a chance that you will get useful resources. Here are the resources you can get from each type of animal:

AnimalResource
CowMilk
ChickenEgg
SheepWool

You can also try feeding the animal vegetables or fruits by simply throwing them in front of it. This will make the animal very happy and increase your chances of getting a useful item after interacting with it.

Milk, eggs, and wool are not the only useful things you can get from animals. Naturally, they defecate and as a result, you can collect fertilizer in the form of their poop. This fertilizer will be very useful for those who want to focus on growing crops and developing their farm. In this case, you don’t need to interact with animals to get fertilizer. Instead, the best method is to find a place where there are plenty of animals, a herd for example, and look closely at the ground. In most cases, you will easily find some poop that you can pick up.

It’s also a good idea to create a corral for animals to automate this process a bit. Just craft some blocks and place them side by side to corral the animals. To attract them, you need to have a fruit or vegetable in your hand, and then they will start following you. Bring as many animals as possible to the corral to have a constant supply of animal resources and fertilizer.
