When you see something you don’t like, sometimes you do something about it. One woman in New York shared a video of her mom and how her mischievous ways got her in a little trouble. It turns out, she was not happy when she went to her chemo appointment and was met with a Trump bobblehead. The hilarious way she responded had me rooting for this mom all the way.
Miranda (@mirandamckeon on TikTok) shared a video captioned, “POV: My Liberal mom takes the Trump bobblehead off the chemo infusion suite’s front desk… but then it goes wrong.” You hear Miranda asking her mom what she just did when she was leaving the office. Her mom gestures at the bobble head in her hand and asks, “Why would this be on the counter in an infusion center?” She then puts the toy in her purse and says, “We’re gonna deal with him later” and says that she finds it “wildly offensive” that they would display it at all.
As Miranda and her mom are headed down to the bottom floor in an elevator, they share some giggles. Miranda points out that they made the bobblehead “so skinny.” Her mom shows the bobblehead to the viewers and says, “He is now leaving the hospital with us.” Miranda goes on to say that she finds it offensive that they would even have that on the premises. She adds, “Considering the amount of funding he’s taken away from cancer care.”
The video then pans to Miranda and her mom dancing in the car until they get a phone call. Miranda quickly realizes it’s the hospital calling about their missing bobblehead. Her mom tells the caller, “I can’t bring it back. I’m so sorry.” She continues, “It’s been disposed of.”
Miranda’s mom takes it one step further and actually purchases several other bobbleheads for the cancer suite. These ones, she believes, are more ‘uplifting’ than Donald Trump. She picks from Rosie the Riveter, a cute dog, and a Buddha and orders them for the suite. Her mom tells her that she feels guilty about stealing the bobblehead but feels she made up for it.
Commenters were in disbelief that the chemo infusion suite would proudly display a Trump bobblehead. Especially, as one commenter pointed out, “HE LITERALLY DEFUNDED CANCER RESEARCH WHY WOULD THEY HAVE THAT UP.” Another person reassured, “Maybe it’s because I’m Canadian but politics don’t belong in hospitals, I would of taken it too.” Whose bright idea was it to place the bobblehead there in the first place? It’s almost like they were asking for somebody to say or do something about it.
