Former soap and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna made a startling admission regarding her past mental health issues. Rinna reveals she went through a very dark period while struggling with unsettling dreams and violent thoughts.
Lisa Rinna got real and shared some disturbing details about herself during a recent episode of her โLetโs Not Talk About the Husbandโ podcast. She claims that following the birth of her daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray, she underwent a terrifying experience with postpartum depression.
โI had horrible postpartum depression, but I didnโt know it,” Rinna states. Lisa recalls struggling with the mental health condition for 15 months following the birth of her oldest daughter, Delilah.
However, it wasn’t until the birth of her second daughter, Amelia, that things took a frightening turn. So much so that it began to worry her husband, Harry Hamlin.
Lisa Rinna Threatens To Kill Husband Harry Hamlin
Rinna recalls the day that her husband, Harry Hamlin, approached her, revealing his concerns. Hamlin told his wife that she had threatened to kill him, and warned him to keep all the knives in the house away from her.
Lisa Rinna claims she doesn’t recall making the threats to her husband. She does remember having extremely violent visions. Lisa reveals that things became so bad that she was constantly hallucinating.
โI was having horrible hallucinations of killing people, and I needed to take the knives out of the house. And I also had horrible visions of driving the car into a brick wall,โ she explained.
Lisa states that despite the horrible visions, they were never about hurting the baby in any way. She describes feeling hopeless during the period. “I was completely psychotic.”
Thankfully, Harry Hamlin finally convinced his beloved wife to call and make an emergency appointment to see her doctor. Lisa Rinna says that she was prescribed antidepressants. She adds that the medication began working immediately, calling it a total game-changer.

During her 8-season stint on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rinna made waves as the unapologetic pot-stirrer-in-chief, dishing drama, sparking feuds before leaving the reality series in 2023.
She admits things are much calmer. Especially following her departure from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She reveals that leaving reality television is her best decision ever.
Lisa Rinna also adds that despite the requests for her return to RHOBH, she has no plans to do so, ever. Instead, Rinna claims she has found much greater happiness focusing on her family, acting career, beauty line, and hit podcast show.
