Pest Control is a daily Una task in Lost Ark. You will unlock the ability to complete this task after finishing the questline on Blackfang’s Den. Not only does this task give you thousands of pirate coins, but it also provides you with the Certificate of Pirate needed to make the Astray ship. Pest Control Una Task Guide in Lost Ark
The task will begin on Blackfang’s Den once you’ve claimed it in your Una’s Tasks menu (Alt+J). The task asks you to defeat groups of pirates trying to harm Blackfang. However, upon arriving at the island, you will likely not immediately encounter either the pirates or Lorka.
Rather than the pirates appearing as regular enemies on the island, you’ll have to wait until they spawn through the island’s co-op event. Thankfully, the co-op event occurs every 15 minutes, meaning you won’t have to wait too long if you miss it. There are two separate parts of the event, one after another. The following list describes each part:
- Everyone, Charrrge! – Pirates will begin spawning on the island. You’ll find them along the northeast and western beaches. Everyone taking part in the event must defeat a total of 10 pirates.
- Watch Out! Pirates! – Pirates will continue spawning on the island. Lorka will also appear during this second part. If you have not defeated five pirates by this point, you have an opportunity to target Lorka. If you only have one or two pirates left to beat by this point, this part also gives you a second chance to find more.
During the event, the pirates will spawn around the island for you to defeat. Additionally, Lorka will appear in the bottom right corner of the map, northeast of the island entrance. The image above shows the approximate location. For the Pest Control Una task, you only need to defeat either the five pirates or Lorka. Although you do not have to target both, you will have the opportunity to find numerous pirates and Lorka.
If you plan on fighting Lorka, make sure you are either on a relatively unpopulated channel or deal damage as quickly as possible. Since there are likely numerous other players around trying to complete the same task each day, Lorka will likely be defeated within a few seconds. Lorka also has a fairly low health pool, so it only takes a few strong players to take him down swiftly. As long as you land some attacks on him, you will receive credit for the task. After defeating either Lorka or five pirates, head into Blackfang’s home and speak to Ruri to complete the Pest Control Una task.
