Love Is Blind‘s Nick Thompson is going through it right now, financially. You would think someone who starred in one of the more popular reality shows of the last year would be well off. Sadly, that just isn’t the case here. The first mind-blowing fact is that Netflix only paid him a little over $7.00 an hour with no actual residuals from the show itself. That comes as news to most people, who just assume if someone is on a reality show, they are making bank.
As we all just learned, that is simply not the case here. Nick Thompson is also freaking out because no one will hire him now. He thinks that has a bit to do with the fact that Love Is Blind was very toxic. He worries now that people think he is toxic just because that is what they mostly saw on the show. With all that taken into account, Nick is about to be homeless, as if he didn’t have enough problems already.
Love Is Blind’s Nick Thompson Is Struggling
Nick Thompson has also gone on record to say that he was treated like a “prisoner” while he was on Love Is Blind. He is quick to point out how successful the show is and how no one who was on it ever sees any of that money. The end result is that he is at risk of losing his home. Granted, everyone is struggling right now, so it can be hard to feel bad for people who still have it better than most of us. However, homelessness shouldn’t be wished upon anyone.
He says they filmed 18-20 hours a day and the cast was not compensated properly for their time. On top of all that, Nick is an advocate for men’s mental health. Now he is struggling just as much as the men he is trying to help.
