It is a heartbreaking time for Mama June Shannon and her family. Sadly, it appears as if her daughter Anna Cardwell’s health is rapidly in decline. June took to Instagram to share the difficult news with her followers and asked that everyone keep Anna in their prayers.
Mama June Shannon Asks For Prayers and Privacy During Difficult Time
June Shannon and her family are reaching out to their social media followers and fans, asking for prayers as they face one of life’s most difficult challenges. Mama June Shannon took to Instagram on Friday to share the bad news. It seems that her daughter Anna Cardwell has taken a turn for the worse during her courageous battle with cancer.
Last March, Mama June announced publicly that her oldest daughter, Anna Cardwell, also known as Chickadee, had been diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer. Anna was diagnosed in January after suffering from severe stomach pains. Unfortunately, the mother of two daughters, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Clark and Kylee Madison Cardwell, diagnosis was pretty grim, according to June.
The stage four adrenal carcinoma had already progressed rapidly and was in her liver, kidney, and lungs. After enduring several months of chemotherapy and radiation treatments did very little to help Anna’s condition. Now, her condition has reached a critical stage, and the family is now preparing for the end.
Anna’s Final Wishes Include Making Memories and Saying Goodbye
As hard as it is for the family to handle, they announced a few months ago that they had all been preparing themselves and Anna’s two young daughters for the inevitable. Now that the time is approaching, Mama June and daughters Alana (Honey Boo Boo) Thompson, Lauryn (Pumpkin) Shannon Efird, and Jessica (Chubbs) Shannon have all come together to spend as much time as possible making important memories and say their goodbyes.
Lauryn also shared that Anna had a last request to take a family trip to Gatlinburg. She said they all plan to follow Anna’s wishes and make the best of their final family trip. As of yesterday, Anna was still with them, according to her mom. However, Mama June Shannon made it clear that this update would be the last until Anna passed. June sadly assured her followers that when the time comes, she and her daughters will follow Anna’s request and let the fans know.
