Man Harasses Baltimore Police Officers for Internet Clout, ‘What Is the Point of This Besides Being Antagonistic’

Cops are good too, you know?

In the past, we’ve all heard stories about police officers thinking they are above the law. Some of them litter, some of them try to wrongfully arrest people, and so on. However, there are cases where police officers are also the victims, such as the case of a recent Reddit video showing a man harassing the Baltimore PD just to get some internet clout. As expected, this didn’t sit well with anyone online, and many jumped to the defense of the police officers. See, if you’re just trying to stir up trouble to get views, no one’s going to be on your side.

This man started recording Baltimore PD cops in his community. BPD decided to arrest the man on a disorderly charge for filming cops. BPD also seized and held this man's phone to try and stop him from recording cops. This man doubled-down filming the cops. The man wasn't having any of it anymore!

Reddit user methanefreefarts shared the video on the r/ThatsInsane subreddit. It shows a man claiming the cops falsely arrested him for filming them, but the truth is that the clip only shows the man harassing the Baltimore police officers.

The video begins with the man asking, “Status of my phone, sir? Why is it an evidence?” As soon as the police officer tries to answer, the man just interrupts the cop and doesn’t even let them speak at all. The man then shifts the topic and asks the police officer about their mission statement, to which the officer replies, “Why are you so concerned?” The man doesn’t have any clear answer and continues to ramble on about the statement and even the officer’s vehicle. However, things take a turn because we can clearly see the man just trying to antagonize the officer. Almost at the end of the video, the man starts using aggressive language and plays the First Amendment card. The one filming continues to spout aggressive words at the officers, and the video ends.

Sadly, there isn’t information regarding this situation’s conclusion, but many people online agree that the man was doing the harassing here. For starters, the video claims there was an arrest, but we never see an arrest on camera. It doesn’t even look like the one filming is detained at all. Furthermore, the Baltimore police officer is acting as level-headed as possible despite the harassment from the man.

Many people agreed that the one filming was just trying to antagonize the police officers.

What is the point of this besides being antagonistic. Just makes the person behind the camera look like an assh*t.

The police officers didn’t seem to be doing anything wrong. Whenever cops do something bad, it is clear, and they pay for it. However, they were trying to maintain a peaceful situation, and the one behind the camera just didn’t want to listen at all. Now, we all know there are always two sides to the story. Yet, the one shown here doesn’t look great for the supposed “victim.” If you ask me, the police officers were the ones affected in this case, and in truth, they deserve props for handling an antagonizing person in such a calm and collected way.
