With road rage incidents on the rise, a certain Las Vegas, Nevada, man added to the numbers as he went hysterical, causing harm to another road user. The incident, which was shared on Reddit, opened up with the man ramming his black pickup truck into a silver-colored truck, whose driver appeared to be reversing. The man ran the silver car off the road into a construction ditch, drawing concern from the construction workers nearby. However, he didn’t stop there.
He further escalated the situation by causing more damage to the vehicle. He was seen shirtless, aggressively stomping on the hood and windshield of the silver vehicle. The man’s repeated blows broke the windscreen, allowing him to reach inside the vehicle. He then unfastened the seat belt of the other driver, who had remained calm during his outburst.
When bystanders approached the hysterical man, possibly to calm him down, he attacked them. He was seen hitting one onlooker with his cap and attempting to punch the man. In another instance, he was spotted throwing a stone at a second man.
Soon, one onlooker announced the presence of the authorities, causing the berserk man to stop his tantrum. Before the police approached him, he voluntarily lay on the floor, putting his hands behind his back.
The video has since aroused outrage from Redditors, with many suggesting that his actions could have gotten him shot. One user opined that if the victim had shot him, it would have been justified.
The user wrote, “God damn, this would be one of the more justified shootings l have seen. The guy is jump-stomping on your windshield after running you off the road, THEN he reaches into your car through a hole he likely made.”
Another person asked, “Road rage, or roid rage? I’m surprised he didn’t get shot. Nevada is an open carry state, isn’t it?”
A third Redditor reinstated that he could have been shot. “That guy is lucky the victims didn’t have a gun. This is getting so ridiculous – People acting all badass until they find themselves neatly stuffed in a pine box.”
A fourth observer wondered what made the driver act so brashly, indicating possible factors. “Could it be the heat? Or meth?”
Another commenter noted that the man surrendered willingly to the authorities. “Instantly assumes the position. Not his first brush with the law.”
Although the police intervened in the situation, it remains unclear whether the enraged individual has been formally charged. Hopefully, he faces the consequences of his actions.
