Manor Lordsย is aย wonderfulย strategyย that allows theย players to build a village and have fun expanding it with houses, farms, mining sites, and more. However, this is the 14th century, and the flourishing lands are never safe from the outlaws and bandits. If you’ve drawn the attention of the nearby thugs, a game will send you a message to prepare yourself by making an army and forming a militia inย Manor Lords. You’ll need weapons, armor, and enough men to fight for your cause in an army inย Manor Lords.

Make an Army in Manor Lords: Step By Step

  1. Build A Manor: Inย Manor Lords, you can’t form a militia without building a Manor in your territoryย in. Head over to the Administration tab, and on the right side, you’ll find Manor.ย You’d needย 5ย timbers, 20 planks, and 15 stone resourcesย to build this base.
  2. Get More Families: Now that you’ve got permission to make an army inย Manor Lords, you’llย thenย need to gather enough people to form a militia. This game is a bit differentย in terms ofย keeping soldiers, and you won’t need to drag your troops over on the fields every time.ย You can summon your squad whenever an enemy threat appears, butย for that,ย you’ll need to equip people with weapons.
  3. Provide Equipment For Soldiers: It goes without saying, but there’s no particular blacksmith building to have early in your village, and the game doesn’t give detailed instructions on how to arm your forces with weapons. Soย toย build your army’s weapons inย Manor Lords, you’ll need to upgrade the Burgage Plots.

Other than justย sleeping inside, people tend to expand their living groundย toย furtherย grow vegetables, have chicken coops, and build weapons.ย You need to upgrade your Burgage Plots to level 2 for the workshops that deliver bow and arrow. And then further upgrade them to level 3 to have blacksmith buildings inside them.

Remember, you’d need raw and turned materials like Iron Slabs and Planks for building different weapons for your army inย Manor Lords.ย Alsoย as you level up your Burgage Plots, the need for food and fuel increases. So make sure that you develop enough sources for supplies before upgrading.

The best early militia you can form inย Manor Lordsย is the archers,ย with their bow and arrow accessible with level 2 Burgage Plots’ workshops.ย If you need a more advanced army in a quick display, however, you could spend some money and order some mercenaries to deal with the bandits.

Manor Lords is currently available to play on PC via Steam and Game Pass.
