The Miami-based YouTube channel Nelk Boys has been well known for their pranks and viral online videos. Recently, the channel has also been known for promoting right-wing political causes and conversations through a brand called Full Send Entertainment and the Full Send Podcast. Notable guests on the podcast have included Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Andrew Tate, and Ben Shapiro, among others. During a livestream on the Nelk Boys channel, host Bob Menery was fired while still on the air, practically embarrassing him in front of the thousands watching. Fortunately, it appears that the internet has gotten behind the Massachusetts YouTuber in solidarity.
Bob Menery is a YouTuber and podcast host, also known for his right-wing commentary and interviewing celebrities within the same space. During a livestream last night in which the Nelk Boys cast played a game of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, Menery was selected to host the endeavor. According to various promotional clips just before the cameras went on, there was no bad blood between Menery and Kyle Forgeard, the other man in the video. However, as the stream comes to an end, you can hear Forgeard call Menery over.
Suddenly, you hear Forgeard deliver the line that Menery is being fired from the show. The host looks as though this was something he really didn’t expect, and so he tries to ask exactly what it was that he’d done to deserve termination. Forgeard simply replies that he had messed up throughout the entirety of the stream, but chose not to clarify as the cameras were still rolling.
Commenters were quick to judge Forgeard’s behavior, with one person even saying, “Doing it in front of everyone shows everything you need to know about him as a person and especially as a boss.” However, what’s even more telling of him as a person is the actual underlying reason why he fired Menery: Menery had called out Forgeard for having interviewed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the height of Israel’s takeover.
Bob Menery’s fans have continued to show their support for the podcast host since the livestream. Considering that, I am not too concerned about his social standing. However, I do find it interesting that he has clear boundaries, considering that he creates incredibly similar content as Nelk Boys.
