The Duchess of Sussex has become known for dodging rumors pertaining to her and her husband, Prince Harry, as well as their feud with the royal family. This week was not different. Sources claim that Meghan is furious because she believes Harry’s family is behind a smear campaign that is out to ruin her image and has dubbed her the “Duchess Difficult.”
According to ShuterScoop, Meghan Markle is fuming behind the scenes after it was reported that many of her staffers found her to be very challenging to work for. Now, she believes that the royal family is behind the gossip, and she’s not letting it go.
While Meghan and Harry haven’t been working members of the royal family since early 2020, the duo can’t seem to leave behind the drama that comes along with their royal titles. Now, the Duchess is convinced that the royals have cooked up a smear campaign against her.
Meghan Markle Believes The Royals Are Trying To Destroy Her Image
“She’s convinced they’re trying to destroy her all over again,” an insider close to the Sussexes told Rob Shuter.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that the Duchess Difficult label has circulated. It first became a thing in 2021 after it was alleged that Meghan was bullying members of staff during her time as a working royal. Years later, the nickname has returned, and it’s being tied to reports that more than 20 staffers have exited Meghan and Harry’s team since they moved to the U.S. In addition, the Sussexes have reportedly lost six staffers in just four months.
One former aide even described the work environment as tense, claiming, “She was demanding. People were afraid to open emails.” However, Meghan’s people claim that it’s all a ploy to make her look bad. “Same playbook, different year,” one insider said, adding that Meghan knows “exactly who’s pulling the strings.”
Harry and Meghan Can’t Escape The Drama
While senior royals such as King Charles, Prince William, or Kate Middleton may not be directly behind the rumors and rude nicknames, Meghan allegedly believes that palace insiders are pushing the narrative that she’s extremely hard to work for.
It appears that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may never be able to stop the rumors and whispers about the bad blood between them and the royal family. However, it remains to be seen if they’ll be hitting back after the rude nickname has resurfaced. Meanwhile, many fans are wishing that the whole family would just bury the hatchet.
