Meghan Markle takes no chances with her business as she embarks on new promotional efforts for her As Ever brand despite a doom prediction. The 43-year-old has remained at the forefront of growing her business empire since launching the lifestyle brand in March 2025. Her business took off on a strong trajectory, with the first set of products selling out within hours. Earlier this week, the duchess teased the restock of her As Ever products, along with “some delicious surprises” set to drop on Friday, June 20.
Ahead of the big drop, royal experts have slammed the royal-turned-entrepreneur for simply restocking her sold-out products in a bid to be recognized as a royal entrepreneur, with a trailblazing business. Many of her critics have predicted that this desperate move would simply backfire, as she was driven by all the wrong reasons, particularly a desire for fame and fortune.
Meghan Markle Criticized For As Ever Product Restock
Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal expert Helena Chard explained that Meghan Markle’s As Ever business only seemed to be thriving now because her “royal title and Sussex name are boosting her brand.” However, in her hunt for fame and fortune, the duchess would most likely keep exploiting her royal connections while dabbling in as many business ideas as possible, which could backfire. Chard divulged,
“She will cling to this as it will help bring her [more] fame and fortune, which is imperative to her life. She will keep her fingers in many pies and her name in lights with the hope that one or more of her ideas will bring in the much-needed hard cash.”
After her bashful comments about Mghan Makle’s business efforts, Chard went on to make a doom prediction about her As Ever band, noting that the mom of two would never make the fortune she craved from the sales of products. She divulged,
“She is not likely to amass her fortune from the sales of basic As Ever treats, however delicious they may be.”
Like Chard, several other critics and royal experts have predicted doom for Meghan Markle’s business, citing her promotional approach, shaky foundation, difficulty retaining staff, constant grifting between ideas, and even her beef with the British royal family. Despite these criticisms, Meghan has continued her promotional efforts, moving forward with business plans as scheduled.
Ignoring her business critics, Meghan Markle doubled down on her initial announcement about her product restock, sharing a countdown to the official “Summer drop” via Instagram stories in the early hours of Friday. The post featured a photo of the As Ever founder in a yellow dress, riding a swing attached to a massive tree in a dense garden. At the end of the 8-hour countdown, the duchess restocked her products as promised, taking to Instagram to announce the unveiling of “Yummies, and honeys, and fruit spreads,” and inviting shoppers to explore the Summer drop. Whether or not Mehan is in it for the “fame and fortune,” her resilience, even in the face of criticism, is certainly commendable.
