Prince Harry celebrated his milestone 40th birthday on Sunday. The Duke of Sussex was showered with love by his friends and even the royal family. Despite the rift between Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and the royals, the family shouted out King Charles’ youngest son on his special day. Unfortunately, it didn’t go unnoticed that they might have made a dig at Meghan in the process.
Page Six reports that King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton wished Prince Harry a happy birthday on social media. However, the photo that the royal family chose to use was a bit dated. The image was a photo of Harry smiling while visiting Dogpatch Labs in Dublin. The original photo included Meghan Markle smiling next to him. However, the royals opted to crop the Duchess of Sussex out of the snap to focus on Harry.

Although it was Harry’s birthday and he was rightfully the focus of the photo, some fans couldn’t help but think that the royal family may have used the photo to make a statement against Meghan. However, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace denied that they altered the photo, and claimed it was used in the format in which is was received.
“The shade! The Palace always plays the long game,” one person said.
“She literally has divided the future of the Royal Family – the king and his bro,” another critic stated.
“At this point he is just happy they acknowledged his birthday,” a third comment read.
“That’s because Willie and Charles are petty and jealous as hell. All of them on the island don’t add up to a tenth of her strength and intelligence. They keep ‘snubbing’ her and she’s not even paying them a whit of attention,” one person stated of the situation.
“This was intentional. They’re trying to hurt her the way that she’s hurt them by taking Harry away. Another declaration of war,” said another.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plan for the Duke’s big day have been widely speculated about online. It was previously reported that Harry wanted to party with his pals for the weekend. However, Meghan allegedly forced him to cancel is plans in favor of staying home with his family.
