Meghan Markle is catching heat for associating with one of Hollywood’s most controversial families. Markle recently began the rollout of her American Riveria Orchard brand with the launch of a strawberry jam product. To promote it, she sent 50 jars of the jam to a few close elites, one of whom is Kris Jenner. Unfortunately, fans are displeased with the Duchess for collaborating with the famous momager.
Meghan Markle Sends American Riveria Orchard Jam To Kris Jenner
Kris Jenner joined the list of A-listers to be the first people to taste Meghan Markle’s strawberry jam from her lifestyle brand. The renowned matriarch took to her Instagram Story to spread the news, per Page Six. She shared a photo of the Duchess’ gift which included the jar of jam surrounded by lemons in a potted plant. The former actress attached a card featuring Jenner’s name written in cursive to the package. “Thank you @americanrivieraorchard,” Jenner captioned the post alongside a yellow heart emoji and lemon.
The jar had the words “13 of 50” written it, indicating that Markle had Jenner in mind when curating the list of those who would first sample her product. Earlier in the week, Markle’s BBF Abigail Spencer caused quite a storm on social media while promoting her friend’s jam. The Suits star set up an elaborate photo shoot showing her outdoors with the jam in a basket of lemons.
Spencer, who donned a gorgeous black summer dress for the promotion captioned the post, “This jam is my jam. A delicious taste of what’s to come indeed… love you so M. @americanrivieraorchard.”
Fans Slam Meghan Markle For Sending ‘Rotten’ Jam To Kris Jenner
As expected, royal critics certainly had a bone to pick with Meghan Markle for including Kris Jenner in her circle. They took to Twitter to air their grievances, and it was quite brutal. An angry fan penned, “She is now part of the Kardashian’s world! Kris Jenner’s basket is next. She has literally gone from wearing Princess Diana’s jewelry to working with a Porn pusher.” Another comment read:
“Sad that her friends have been reduced to the Kardashian/Jenner family. And of course, Kris has to let the world know she’s friends with Meg and Harry.”
This third Internet user wrote, “Meghan Markle could not sink any lower. Nobody decent will have any thing to do with her. Kris Jenner is a pimp.” A fourth fan believed Markle’s collaboration with the momager won’t yield good returns. “She will initially sell some, due to the hype, but her supporters can’t afford too many luxury items, and those who can, don’t want to be associated with either her, or the Kardashians,” the comment read.
One fan in particular had a problem with the quality of lemons used in the promotion. “#MeghanMarkleIsAConArtist Good grief Kris Jenner is worth billions but could not afford some fresh lemons these look like she pulled them out of the garbage they look rotten,” the remark read.
It seems a Meghan Markle and Kris Jenner collaboration isn’t a fan-favorite.
