Minecraft LIVE has officially been announced for September 28 at 1 p.m. EST. The show is best known for being the hub of all new and upcoming information concerning the Minecraft franchise. This year will mark the 15th anniversary and will take place at the Stockholm headquarters. In their announcement, the Minecraft team teased that the show will have a ‘new look and feel.’

Despite the show’s different exterior, players can still expect the influx of information that comes with Minecraft LIVE. While the official Minecraft LIVE announcement states that most everything else about the show will remain the same, Mojang has returned the mob vote and replaced it with something new.

Minecraft Live Removes the Mob Vote and Promises More Details

Instead of mob votes, Minecraft LIVE will happen twice a year and feature more focused content, including information on upcoming features and testing. The show will also feature some of the many game drops the developer promised to provide players with content more frequently.

Originally called MinecraftCon, the convention began in 2010 with 30 people in attendance. Since then, the show has become a Minecraft Mekka, with millions of fans tuning in from around the world. Last year, the show began introducing information such as important content updates like the 1.21 Tricky Trials Update. This time, players should expect all-new, never-before-seen content and playthroughs from the developers.

If you’re interested in catching the show this year, then tune in to Minecraft LIVE on September 20, 2024, at 1 pm EST at either of the following links:

  • Official Minecraft YouTube channel.
  • The Minecraft Twitch page.
  • Minecraft’s official website.

Minecraft never fails to impress me with every update and addition to the game. It’s exciting to imagine what’s next for the famous sandbox game.
