Ariel Winter is a fan of body art but the latest addition to her collection is especially meaningful. She took to Instagram recently to share a bunch of photos with her fans and let them know the inspiration behind getting inked on her arm. She also thanked the tattoo artist in the caption for her “ beautiful, impromptu piece.” She continued, “This tattoo will forever be my favorite. Words will never be able to fully express how much, and what, this tattoo means to me but I will try.”

The tattoo that means so much to Ariel Winter is of her beloved dog Chloe (who she informed fans is doing well). So, why did she decide to get her pet inked onto her skin forever? Chloe is a rescue dog who has had an incredible impact on the Modern Family actress’ life. She adopted her in August 2016, and in the caption of her post, she referred to this day as being “one of the best days of my life because I rescued my soul dog Chloe.”
Winter also used her Instagram post as a way to spread awareness for GS rescue, where she got Chloe. She recounted her dog adoption experience and how positive it was. “When I got there, it didn’t take long to know I was taking her home. When I looked into her eyes, I knew it was meant to be. I knew she was my best friend and one of the deepest connections I’d ever have,” she wrote.
“She is my whole heart. I don’t know where I would be without Chloe, and even the smallest thought of one day doing life without her breaks me to my core. The day I rescued her she began to heal my broken inner child without me even realizing it,” she explained. “Chloe ignited my passion for rescue and showed me my purpose.” Her words are beautiful and fans have been moved by the emotional tribute to Ariel Winter’s pet.
