This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information.

In Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the Guiding Lands Coral area is an essential area to level up quickly in order to unlock Tempered Namielle. While most weapons do not really benefit much from using Namielle sets, its Guiding Lands material is needed for Health Regen weapon augmentation. Less time to heal, more time to kill.

This guide comes from the YouTube Monster Hunter content creator GaijinHunter. Below, Gaijinhunter will show you how to easily level up Iceborne Guiding Lands Coral area from Level 1 to Level 7 in around one hour with Tzitzi-Ya-Kus.

Iceborne | Fast Coral LV7

If you don’t feel like watching the five minutes long video, prefer to read guides, or just need a quick list on what to do, here is the step-by-step list:

  1. Start in Area 3 camp, the one near Coral area
  2. Lure in a Tzitzi-Ya-Ku
  3. Head straight into Area 10 Coral, start collecting tracks even if the monster hasn’t showed up yet
  4. When done, check Area 11 to see if there are tracks there
  5. The Tzitzi-Ya-Ku should’ve come now, don Ghillie Mantle and follow it while collecting all tracks you come across
  6. Trap the Tzitzi-Ya-Ku when it’s about to left your Guiding Lands for extra XP

So you might ask, “Why is this method is the most effective for raising the Iceborne Guiding Lands Coral area?” Let me explain a bit.

There are many ways to gain XP for a Guiding Lands area, and simply collecting tracks is one of them. Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is one of the Coral-only monsters so doing anything that involves it (capturing it, killing it, wallbanging it, collecting its tracks) will add your Coral XP by a lot compared to roaming monsters such as Banbaro or Deviljho. And, hoo boy, this flashy bird-reptile-thing sure leaves out a bunch of tracks. If you’re lucky and Kirin also shows up in the Coral area, it will make your run become much faster since it also drops a lot of tracks.

In his video Gaijinhunter claimed you will gain one Coral area level per three runs and takes “roughly” about 70 minutes — or one hour and 10 minutes — to max level your Coral area. A bit boring and takes a bit of time, sure, but (arguably) it is the most efficient way to get Level 7 relatively quick than just mindlessly hunting monsters.

Here are some armor skills and items that could help you out:

  • Stealth: Make sure to get Level 3 so Tzitzi-Ya-Ku won’t notice you and getting aggroed instantly
  • Intimidator: Level 3 is needed to ward off small monsters
  • Banishing Ball: In case you don’t want to use lures or just wants to get rid of other monsters
  • Trap Tools and Thunder Bugs: Lets you craft Shock Trap on the fly instead of restocking
  • Trap Tools and Nets: Lets you craft Pitfall Trap on the fly instead of restocking
  • Ghillie Mantle: To make you practically invisible to monsters and can gather tracks comfortably

That concludes our Monster Hunter guide for now. Do you have your own tips and trick for leveling up Iceborne‘s Guiding Lands? Share with us your dirty little secrets in the comments below.
