The sequel to My Time at Portia brings many things for players to do, find, and craft in true farming sim fashion, of course. While most things will be similar to the first game, others are quite different and require you to delve into some of the many new locations of this desert locale. One of the most important materials you’ll need while venturing into My Time at Sandrock is Tin Ore, and there are a few ways to get it without wasting a lot of time on your in-game day.

Thankfully, when it comes to getting most materials, the game offers you different approaches. Whether you like exploring or prefer to get something quick, you’ll find many options for obtaining almost all reagents. So far, there are two main methods for obtaining Tin Ore in My Time at Sandrock, which are the following:

  1. Enter the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins and break Tin ore crystal nodes. They are found after you reach the third layer.
  2. Buy them from the Eufaula Salvage shop. There’s a limited stock every day.

Early in the game, you unlock Eufaula Salvage as a place to farm scrap. You’ll also find elevators bringing you down to the first Abandoned Ruins area unlockable in the game. These Abandoned Ruins are the primary method of obtaining Tin Ore in My Time at Sandrock. You’ll randomly find Tin ore crystal nodes within the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins to break. They appear as silver crystal rocks coming out of the ground.

It is important to note that you will not encounter these Tin ore crystals until you reach Layer 3 of the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins. Go to the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins screen and look under the “You might get” rewards section to know what rewards you get from each level.

Near the Eufaula Salvage site is a small building housing a store. Enter this building and interact with the cash register at the back of the shop to access the store. You’ll find numerous resources in this shop, including Stone, Ores, Data Discs, and Scrap. The shop includes Tin Ore. Tin Ore will range from 7 to 10 Gols each, depending on the Market price percentage. Furthermore, you can only buy up to 30 Tin Ore at a time, making it a finite source.
