Nancy Pelosi is blaming the Democrat’s huge loss on none other than Joe Biden. Donald Trump, of the Republican party, emerged as the winner of the 2024 Presidential elections. He defeated Kamala Harris with both the popular vote and the Electoral College. Trump amassed a total of 74,312,688 votes, while Harris got 70,387,644 votes. As for electoral college votes, the convicted felon surpassed the required 270 votes, receiving 301 in total. Harris, however, only went home with 226 votes.
In a new interview, Pelosi reflected, claiming President Biden’s delay in exiting the 2024 presidential race cost the Democrats. While speaking on The Interview, a New York Times podcast, the former House speaker said, “We live with what happened. Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race.”
She further explained, “The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary. And as I say, Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in that and been stronger going forward.” Unfortunately, given that Harris didn’t outperform Trump, the Democrats will try again in the next four years.
“We live with what happened. And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different.”
President Biden, who was elected in 2020, was due to run again for office until he stepped aside in July. The 82-year-old faced concerns that his cognitive capacity was too weak to rule the country. Although he consistently denied the claims, he bowed down after a calamitous first debate against Trump in June.

Pelosi’s dig at Biden comes after the incumbent president caused a stir with his body language. In his first speech following the elections, Biden seemed energetic, the complete opposite of his usual sluggish vibe. The 82-year-old was also oddly coherent, barely stammering or twisting up words. “Joe Biden addresses the nation. He has a real spring in his step, as if he wanted this result all along,” one user on X observed.
The theory sparked several opinions, with many wondering why the President seemed healthier compared to the early days of his campaign.
“Holy s**t, he didn’t stutter, mutter, or mumble once. Was his whole feeble old man shtick an act because he wanted out because they were twisting his arm?” wondered one fan.
“I have never seen Joe so energetic and enthusiastic in all these years of him being the POTUS,” another comment read.
