Here at The Nerd Stash, we’ve covered Gotham Knights quite a bit. Back in 2020, we published an article about the game’s appearance at DC FanDome. More recently, we covered the release of the new cinematic trailer for the game earlier this month. Now, we’re back with even more exciting news about the upcoming Warner Bros. Games and DC title. The game’s release date is almost upon us, and another new Gotham Knights trailer was revealed today.

The new trailer answers the question, “What is Gotham Knights?”

With the Gotham Knights October 21 release date fast approaching, fans may be eager to learn more about the game. According to today’s press release, the trailer aims to give players an overview of the game.

“The video dives into several key areas that make Gotham Knights the complete gameplay experience. This includes its unique playable heroes Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin; open-world crimefighting, exploration, and traversal; solo play or seamless online co-op; gear, suit, and weapon customization; epic villain confrontations and encounters with the likes of Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface and the mysterious Court of Owls; and more.”

The new Gotham Knights trailer, which is just over three minutes long, shows off gameplay and shares details about the game. According to today’s new trailer, each of the four heroes specializes in a unique skillset. Batgirl is a hacker. Nightwing is nimble and light on his feet. Red Hood is proficient with firearms, and Robin is stealthy. All four of these characters can be swapped and made playable throughout the game. Following Batman’s death, they team up to become the eponymous Knights and protect the city.

“From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious Super-Villains in epic confrontations, players will tackle an array of challenges as they evolve into their own version of the Dark Knight.”

Gotham Knights is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5 on October 21.
