What Lies in the Multiverse New Pixel-Art Platformer Coming March 4, 2022
This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

The multiverse is real. In this debut game from developers Studio Voyager and InguanaBee, What Lies in the Multiverse invites players to a unique blend of storytelling and action. Arriving this March 4, 2022, What Lies in the Multiverse brings forth a multiversal experience that will transport players from one universe to the next with the snap of a button. Players can actually try out the game’s Prologue through its Steam page.

The Universes are in Trouble with What Lies in the Multiverse

What Lies in the Multiverse follows a cast of space-time traveling heroes with trouble hustling them on their tails. But with the ability to switch in and out of worlds, they can overcome their obstacles within a second. And each individual universe houses a different layout, all made with beautiful pixel-art that you can check out right here.

The Release Date trailer shows us exactly what to expect just from the game’s minimal description. Backed with the Russian Dance from The Nutcracker, we’re treated to colorful hijinks across space and time as Everett and his adventurous partner-in-crime visit a multitude of worlds. They’ll get to meet some new and refreshing faces while sometimes going toe-to-toe with some old ones. It’s got action, it’s hilarious, and it’s simply just one hell of a trailer for the upcoming indie title.

What Lies in the Multiverse will launch onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store this March 4, 2022. Players can wishlist the game now through Steam. In addition to the game’s announcement, players can try out the Prologue/Demo by signing up now. What Lies in the Multiverse‘s development comes from two studios: Studio Voyager and IguanaBee, with publishing by Untold Tales. This game will be Studio Voyager’s first published game.
