A regular morning in New York City park became more interesting after a man transporting a 75-inch flatscreen TV with nothing but a bicycle happened to cycle by. What’s even more impressive is that the NYC man is balancing the 100-pound TV on his head while also cycling. This stunt is apparently in its current and most perfect form. Here’s the clip:
This impressive scene in Brooklyn, New York, happened on August 12, and the man in question is actually a bit of a celebrity named Leh-Boy Gabriel Davis, originally from Liberia. Davis is an NYC performer who became known for carrying heavy objects on his head while also cycling– often on a Citi Bike.
This time around, however, Davis chose a heavier bike as it allowed him more reliably carry the 100-pound (or 45 kg) TV on his head. That’s the same weight as a small adult. Sadly, according to the person asking Davis, most people, “Wouldn’t know that ’cause they don’t carry stuff like that on their head,”. I know I don’t, and I’m not about to risk my wife’s TV.
In any case, Davis’ latest stunt has since gone viral for just how surreal his ability is to balance such a big yet delicate object on his head. Other objects that Davis has balanced on his head while riding bikes would be refrigerators and truck tires. It appears Davis is now pushing the limits of the size and weight of objects on his head while biking.
People are Skeptical, but Good Thing Davis isn’t Doing it for Work
Most people are amazed at David’s skill and balance; however, there were some who thought Davis was doing it to seriously transport a 75-inch TV he bought. Well, perhaps he did, and it really is his TV, but it’s mostly just for the sake of the stunt and not intended as a zero-fuel replacement for appliance deliveries. It didn’t stop people from reminding others that what Davis is doing is generally not a good idea to copy:
“This works until it doesnโt,” claims Ok_Reputation3298
“Just needs a kid to run in front of him,” according to FrogsMakePoorSoup
“Call me crazy, But why though?” asks Totalynotavirus
Some, however, were more positive about Davis and his achievements, with one person even noting just how far the NYC performer has come. Davis notably started small and worked his way up to bigger objects, and can now comfortably balance one of the biggest appliances in a typical household. He’d certainly make a killing helping his friends move.
“No lie โ I saw this guy riding a bike with an entire COUCH on his fucking head one day in Union Square. It was insane,” recalls the1blackguyonreddit
“I canโt even properly balance a hat on my head,” praises Legitimate-Log-6542
