This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information.

British publisher No More Robots, the people behind recently released Nowhere Prophet, has achieved a major milestone for the company’s sales. It was announced by director/co-founder Mike Rose that they had reached the target of $3 million in lifetime revenue.

In a Tweet he said:

“No More Robots hit $3m in lifetime revenue today, one week after the Nowhere Prophet launch, and 2 years into our existence.”

This is an impressive feat, considering how brief their presence in the industry has been. The Tweet then goes on to break down the percentage of the revenue that each platform contributed to.

He lists:

“Steam (4 games) = 66% of that total, Xbox (1 game) = 30%, GOG, Humble, etc = 4%.”

As we can see, Steam is the major platform for the company’s revenue stream, but it also clear that they have an audience in the console market as well, with almost a third of their sales being on the Xbox.

No More Robots

Therefore, with the knowledge that No More Robots’ sales are relatively strong on consoles, it is only a matter of time before we start seeing more games from the company on these platforms.

Rose addressed this exciting prospect in the Tweet, saying:

”The next 12 months: More games! More Xbox! Switch! PS4!”

It is only a matter of time before us console gamers get our hands on more of their games.

The Manchester-based publisher’s newest game Nowhere Prophet, developed by Sharkbomb Studios, has helped to propel the company’s revenue to this point and shows signs that the company is making major waves in the indie publishing niche.

So, whatever happens next, it’s exciting to see the company grow and look to the future for No More Robots.
