Dangerous criminals have no place in society, especially those who choose to harm the lives of innocent children. Fortunately, justice has been recently served for an American Airlines flight attendant from North Carolina who used hidden cameras in the airplane bathrooms to secretly record young girls. Attorneys on the case say that the man “robbed five young girls of their innocence,” leaving them with “fear, mistrust, insecurity, and sadness,” per a report by CNN.
Now, he’ll spend 18.5 years in prison, after which the authorities will keep a close watch on him for another five years. It was reported that a 14-year-old girl who was a passenger on the flight attendant’s plane discovered the hidden camera, thus exposing the man’s horrendous crime. There’s little to say about this story other than a disgusted reaction, such as, “What in the world is wrong with some people?” However, online users are wondering how he thought no one would spot the smartphone, poorly taped above the toilet seat. Apparently, as one Reddit user points out, “this moron was extra stupid because he left the flash on.”

It wasn’t long before a Reddit comment section turned political, with people pointing out how the criminal flight attendant received 18.5 years, while others who are allegedly worse got away with no punishment. “18.5 years, while child rapists get elected,” grumbles one user. “American Airlines doesn’t openly protect pedophiles…American Government officials protect and participate,” sarcastically remarks another Reddit commenter. “[He’s going to become] the Future Sec of Transportation,” joked a third. “If only he had been a billionaire, then he could’ve become president,” adds a fourth.
With the ongoing situation between President Trump and the Epstein files, not too many Americans are happy with how dismissive POTUS is of the very serious accusations. Whatever the case, that situation is technically separate from someone who has pleaded guilty to a despicable crime. Hopefully, the victims are able to recover from what happened, while the former flight attendant learns a harsh lesson, spending around two decades in prison.
