Harrison Ford didn’t seem pleased about Nikki Glaser’s roast at the 2025 Golden Globes. The actor, nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Television, was among the many celebrities mentioned in last night’s opening monologue.
Several minutes into her speech, Glaser, who already had the A-list audience roaring with laughter, picked on the Indiana Jones star. “The legendary Harrison Ford is here tonight,” she announced, to cheers from the crowd, before telling her joke.
“I was actually talking to Harrison [Ford] backstage, and after he gave me his drink order, I asked him, ‘I said would you rather work with Zendaya or Ariana,’ and he said ‘Indica.’ So, we’re going to find him some so he has a good time tonight.”
Unfortunately, Glaser’s joke fell flat and wasn’t well-received by Ford. The Air Force One actor had an unmistakable negative reaction, giving the comedian a cold side gaze. He also kept a straight face, hinting that he didn’t find it funny. The 82-year-old wasn’t the only offended party. The camera panned to show Zendaya looking indifferent while Ariana Grande seemed confused as she mouthed, “What?“
As expected, viewers online didn’t miss the awkward moment at the award ceremony. “Harrison Ford giving the Golden Globes host the side eye is sending me,” one comment read.
“He was hoping she doesn’t embarrass him. Harrison Ford doesn’t seem like a person who likes the spotlight too much because you never see him much unless he is doing a movie,” a second fan observed.
“Harrison Ford was not impressed,” another remark read.
“He did not like being tied to cannabis use 🤭,” a fourth fan noticed.
“I don’t think Zendaya or Harrison appreciated that weed joke,” a fifth user penned. “Probably left a bad taste in Zendaya’s mouth after that ‘weed and patchouli’ incident.”
Was Harrison Ford Angry Or Doing A Bit?
Harrison Ford’s reaction to Glaser’s roast wasn’t his only grumpy moment during the big night. While on stage with actor Anthony Mackie to present the award for Best Animated Feature later in the night, he seemed tense.
The pair, who star in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World movie, argued back and forth. Mackie acted playful while Ford tried to get through the announcement without interruption. At one point, he seemed visibly irritated, after which he slightly shoved Mackie aside to reveal the winner. While it isn’t unusual for presenters to perform bits on stage, fans were convinced Harrison Ford wasn’t just acting.
“I hated that presentation for Best Animated Feature. Sorry, but putting Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford up there, who clearly DGAF about the category, and make it this awkward and weird moment,” one fan wrote.
“Harrison Ford’s face is giving ‘I’m getting too d— old for this,” another comment read.
Harrison Ford is no stranger to these ceremonies with six nominations and the prestigious Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award to his name. Maybe he is indeed “too old” for these shows.
