Former Superman actor Dean Cain of Lois & Clark has notably earned the ire of the fandom after announcing his anti-immigrant stance in the past months. This time around, it appears the old Superman actor is doubling down on his beliefs by allegedly joining ICE and even promoting the federal agency. Dean Cain is also asking people online to join ICE.
The 59-year-old Cain himself uploaded the video today on his X account, and you can see and hear him say that he’s now a sworn law enforcement officer for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Apart from asking US citizens to join ICE, former Superman also claims that the federal agency and President Trump’s policies have captured hundreds of thousands of criminals, including r*pists, pedophiles, and gang members:
“Hey everybody, Dean Cain here. For those who don’t know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it. So I joined up.
Since President Trump took office, ICE has arrested hundreds of thousands of criminals including terrorists, rapists, murderers, pedophiles, MS-13 gang members, drug traffickers, you name itโvery dangerous people who are no longer on the streets” tells Cain
If that wasn’t enough for the average American, Cain has also enticed everyone that ICE will give tons of benefits to its enforcers. Despite Cain’s enthusiasm, however, many viewers have actually tried signing up only to find out that anyone above the age of 37 was not eligible. Some have thus pointed out that Dean Cain is 59 years old, meaning he was unqualified to be a member of ICE, as he was way above the maximum recruitment age.
When called out by one user that others above the age of 37 couldn’t join, Cain merely responded with “Perhaps we’ll get that changed…” Several hours later after Cain’s post, however, the age requirement for ICE was waived. Apart from being initially unqualified to be an ICE agent, Dean Cain was also criticized for several other contradictory aspects related to his career and ethnicity.
Dean Cain Got Famous for Portraying an Immigrant
You don’t exactly need to be a fan to know that Superman or Clark Kent is an illegal immigrant, since he’s technically not from Earth and only crash-landed on a Kansas farm. It just so happens that Cain’s most notable role is Superman from Lois & Clark. Hence, fans are calling Cain out for not learning anything from his most iconic role. An X user even criticized Cain for how Superman would be disappointed in him if the character existed:
“Superman himself would be disappointed in you Dean,” claims @andy_hall23
“this stupid drunk didn’t even know Superman is an immigrant,” says @joed915
Others have reminded people online that Dean Cain’s birth name was Dean George Tanaka, as he was 1/4 Japanese; his paternal grandparents were Japanese immigrants. Cain himself has a mix of different ethnic backgrounds, such as Welsh, Irish, and Canadian, on top of having Japanese ethnicity. In any case, some of Cain’s harshest critics online have also stated that the former Superman actor is now just trying to stay relevant and allegedly grifting.
“That’s one way to try to stay relevant after you’ve washed up,” according to _carbonneutral
“How f***ing dare he use a photo of Christopher Reeves as Superman, plus having the audacity to use the Superman theme,” fumes King_Octantis

“Imagine learning nothing from the iconic character you played,” laments ZitRemedy11
