Four years after its release and Overwatch is now an absolute behemoth and a license to print money for developer Blizzard Entertainment.

If you’re a fan of the series, no doubt you’re still playing it whilst anxiously waiting for more news about Overwatch 2. I can’t help you with that, but how about an Overwatch comic? If you replied in the affirmative, I have good news as Blizzard today announced just that,

What’s more, issue 1 is out now and can be read online (legally).

The comic, entitled London Calling, features Overwatch cover star Tracer in her younger days (In London if you didn’t guess) and is a five-part series. Despite being available digitally, there is the promise of a physical version in the coming months.

If you aren’t quite sold on a Tracer comic, take a look at the trailer below:

Years after Overwatch is disbanded, Tracer looks for new ways to lend a hand. Sprint into TRACER-LONDON CALLING, a brand new comic from @DarkHorseComics.

Read the comic today. Play Tracer's Comic Challenge on September 15.

As you can see from the above, the artwork looks pretty nice, which is expected as this is a collaboration with Dark Horse Comics. Written by Mariko Tamaki and illustrated by Babs Tarr, the Overwatch comic has a good pedigree (both have worked with DC), and it will be released on a monthly basis.

If you skipped ahead and watched the video without reading until the end, you’ll also have noticed an announcement for an event in Overwatch entitled Tracer’s Comic Challenge.

Not much is given away for the event, which runs between the 15th and 28th, but it’s safe to say we can expect some skins based on the comic series. All will be revealed tomorrow.

Now get on over to the Overwatch page and give London Calling a read. Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments and meet us online for the event tomorrow.

Tracer: London Calling Part 1 is out now.
