Last week, WandaVision aired its final episode. It managed to conclude on a high note, setting up future MCU projects along the way. However, one thing it particularly remained coy on was the future of Vision. Thankfully, Paul Bettany has revealed that he would happily return to play the Vision, should the opportunity arise.
In the finale, Vision was faced with taking down the ultimate enemy; himself. That’s right, he had a showdown with White Vision — the android created to destroy him. By the end of the episode (spoiler), Vision was sadly destroyed after Wanda took down the Hex. Furthermore, we are left wondering about the fate of White Vision. Of course, this leaves the character in a strange position. It’s entirely plausible for him to return. At the same time, his fate in episode 9 seems to have a sense of finality to it.

In an interview with Esquire, Bettany revealed his thoughts on whether he’s down for a return. “I love Vision. Yes, I’m in.” Obviously, this by no means confirms he’s coming back. On the other hand, it does reveal that he loves the role and would jump at the chance should the opportunity present itself.
Also, he details why a more prevalent role in the movies would be good for Vision:
There is so much to get into with him because it’s been ten minutes here, ten minutes there, in the movies.”
There is no confirmation of whether he’s returning. It’s difficult to rule it out though. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is guilty of not making death permanent. He only appeared in WandaVision because Wanda resurrected him. Who is to say it can’t occur again? Perhaps we’ll see more of White Vision in the future instead. Fans want to see more from characters who appeared in WandaVision. Fans also want to see Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) in another Disney Plus spinoff. Dennings has already expressed her desire to appear in a Jimmy Woo spinoff.
