Don’t mess with Lady Jessica. After yesterday’s interview with Dune: Part Two star Rebecca Ferguson, in which she talked about a co-star who “screamed” at her, everyone, including Dwayne Johnson, wants to know who did it.
In an interview with Josh Smith, Rebecca Ferguson told this story about a co-star who brought her to tears after things got heated (seen below). When asked about standing up for herself, she recalled “an absolute idiot” who was “so insecure and angry” due to a scene not being executed properly. They took their anger out on her, saying things like, “You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to deal with?” The next day, despite being “so scared,” she told this person to get off the set and to “f— off. I’m going to work to a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.”
Dwayne Johnson and Fans Want to Have a Word With the Co-Star Who ‘Screamed’ at Rebecca Ferguson
The replies to a post by the interviewer that clipped out the story sparked outrage from dedicated fans and one former colleague. You see, Dwayne Johnson was Rebecca Ferguson’s co-star on Hercules. In a reply, he wrote how much he hated “seeing this” and how much he enjoyed “seeing her stand up to bullsh–.” She was his “guardian angel sent from heaven on” the set. He then gave some of the same threatening energy as fans when he ended his post with, “I’d like to find out who did this.”
People in the replies tried to narrow down who the person could be. All we know is that they were first on the call sheet, so they were the leading actor in the unknown film. Many suspect Hugh Grant, who worked with her on Florence Foster Jenkins. The main point is that she is seen on red carpets with other suspects, like Michael Fassbender (who starred with her on The Snowman) and Jake Gyllenhaal (who worked with her on Life). Without seeing the two together, people suspect the British actor.
No credible evidence is there for who it could be. Still, it does not stop speculation. Other suspects include Tom Cruise during the Mission: Impossible movies. Meanwhile, some defend the action star and other actors, like Fassbender and Gyllenhaal, who have done interviews with her.
We won’t know about the abusive co-star unless Rebecca Ferguson comes out and confirms who it is. For now, she will be promoting Dune: Part Two, which will be released on March 1.
